What Do Our Ratings Mean?

Our ratings are based on an in-depth evaluation of each church.

When a church or pastor provides the information directly, we evaluate their responses. Otherwise, we review the church’s website, stated beliefs, and up to its 100 most recent sermons to determine what the church actually teaches.

We then send the church our findings and give its leadership an opportunity to correct the record if we have misunderstood or missed something.

Biblically Sound, Culturally Aware & Legislatively Active Church.
Works to change the culture and correct immoral laws that destroy lives.

Biblically Sound AND Culturally Aware, but NOT Legislatively Active.
Recognizes cultural evil but does not engage in correcting immoral laws.

Biblically Sound, but does not adequately warn or equip its congregation to confront the surrounding culture.

Would Not Recommend.
Does not meet our standards for Biblical soundness. WNR churches are not shown on the map.

Why These Distinctions Matter

A: The only churches MyChurchFinder recommends attending.

B: Teach about cultural decline but stay silent in the public square, leaving the next generation unprotected.

C: Sound doctrine, but they don’t equip their youth to withstand the culture, so many young people leave the faith.

WNR: Don’t meet our standard for Biblical soundness.
